The Elago Slim Fit Case, or the Elago S2, is a very versatile case. It is available in a wide variety of colors to suit even the most picky of iPhone users. I would first and foremost like to thank Elago for suplying me with three of these awesome cases for review! Now, lets get into the nitty and the gritty.
At first glance, this case appears to be an everyday, run-of-the-mill case. Yet, upon closer inspection, you really see the amount of time put in to the creation of this accessory. This case is carefully designed and constructed with durable and harmless material Polycarbonate for your iPhone. It is also Polyurethane coated to protect from scratches and for better grip. Also, there is a cutout on the upper back of the case so you can admire the Apple logo on the back of your phone. This is something that the die-hard Apple fans will find quite enjoyable. In my opinion, however, this is also a major drawback, seeing that this Apple logo is left without protection. And, as many iPhone users will know, the logo is VERY scratch-prone. I believe a fix for this would be to put a thin sheet of clear plastic over this hole, similar to that on the Otterbox cases. This way, you can still show off your Apple logo and keep it protected.
Another thing I don’t particularly like about this case is the fact that there is no lay-on-the-table design. I am a HUGE stickler about this on cases, and feel it is no less than necessary. For those who do not know, a case with this feature has a lip that surrounds the screen. If you were to lay the phone face down on a surface, such as a table, your iPhone’s screen would not be touching the surface. Instead, the lip formed by the case would be touching the surface. I really wish this feature would be included in this case, or, at very least, a screenshield be included. It is definitely disappointing to me that this case has neither of these.
This case is an awesome case for those who are not prone to dropping their phone. I would say it is more for design than for protection, yet it srtill does a good job at protecting your device. I give this case a 3/5 stars, just because I am one who is VERY accident prone, so it is not the ideal case for me.

**Note**
As user dlr stated, it is a good idea to set auto-lock to never. You can do this by going to Settings>>>General>>>Auto-Lock and set to never.

The following is how to enable Voice control on iPhone 3G and iPhone 2G. The Guide is for windows, but you should be able to follow along even on a Mac. If you have any questions simply post them in the comments.

Download WinSCP for Windows
Download CyberDuck for Mac
Download VoiceControl.zip for iPhone 3G and 2G
Voice Control is an exclusive feature of iPhone 3GS which enables its users to make phone calls and play music by using voice commands. Some folks over at this forum have released a Voice Control look-alike app for iPhone 3G and iPhone 2G which works and looks almost exactly as it is on iPhone 3GS.

You will need to have an unlocked and jailbroken iPhone for this to work. Please refer to the guide posted here in order to unlock and jailbreak your iPhone before you follow the steps below:
Step 1: Download WinSCP on Windows or Cyberduck on Mac. (download links given below.)
Step 2: Make sure you have OpenSSH installed on your iPhone:

Step 3: Connect your iPhone with your computer. Make sure iTunes is not running.
Step 4: Start WinSCP on Windows or Cyberduck if you are on a Mac and enter the following details to login to your phone:

Step 5: Once you have logged in, browse to /<root>/Applications directory on your iPhone.
Step 6: Download VoiceControl.zip (download link given below). Extract “Voice Control.app” and copy it to your iPhone in this directory: /<root>/Applications

Step 7: Right-click on “Voice Control.app” which you just copied, click on Properties and change the permission to 755. Make sure you check “Set group, owner and permissions recursively” option as shown below:
That’s it! Restart your iPhone and you should now have a new app named “Voice Control” on your springboard. Start this new application on your iPhone 3G or 2G and simply search through your contacts, music and bookmarks by using voice commands just like iPhone 3GS!

Steven Troughton-Smith, the developer of both Stacks and Orbit, is now in the process of developing a new multi-tasking application for the iPhone and iPod Touch! According to Troughton-Smith, the app basically adds a GUI to what the Backgrounder application already does. Little is known about the app, but he did post a pretty cool screenshot for us to drool over.
I would say, by the looks of the screenie, this app could be very promising! Troughton-Smith has yet to disappoint us, so I expect that, once finished, this will be a great new addition to Cydia .

Stephen Smith, creator of Orbit (Expose for iPhone), has created iDashboard, an iPhone/iPod Touch version of the popular feature built in to Mac OS X

Currently there are only two available widgets, a clock and a calculator. Yet, future updates will feature more tools.
To get your hands on the beta version, just follow these simple steps!
What you will need:
1. A jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch
2. Winterboard
As mentioned, the application is still in beta, so expect a few bugs and a lack of features. Yet, this is still a really cool add-on that you should definitely check out!

Madden Football ’10 was one of the most highly anticipated games to hit the App Store in 2009. It was rumored to have the best graphics, awesome game play, and the fact that it’s Madden Football for the iPhone! Many people, myself included, were very excited about the game’s release. Two days after it hit the App Store, I purchased the app, hoping that my high expectations would be met. I, however, was slightly disappointed.
Upon running the app for the first time, I was greeted with a very popular feature: The ability to choose your “favorite team.” I, being a Louisiana native, chose the New Orleans Saints. Yet, unlike console versions of Madden, the app’s colors were not themed to match your team selection. This was not a big deal to me, as I think seeing black and gold on the menu may be a little distracting and may make the text harder to read. As I continued to use the app, I noticed that the loading screens were not exactly “over the top,” like we would see in console versions. This may be due to the fact that it is a game for a mobile platform, but I think they could’ve done a little better than a little white spiraling football.
I am a HUGE fan of the Madden series on major consoles, such as the XBOX 360 and the Playstation 3. I feel that this type of game is better suited for platforms with physical buttons, not a 3.5” touchscreen. Yet, I still find this game quite addicting, and would recommend it to anyone who is deciding whether or not to purchase it.

3D Spinball is a great pong-style app. The 3D mode allows the user to wear 3D glasses and play in an all 3D enviornment. I deffenantly think that it is worth the $.99 that you spend.
